Preschool Environment

Our Preschool program creates an environment committed to nurturing children academically, emotionally, and spiritually. Our students are excited to learn, anchored in their faith, and have been given the opportunity to develop strong social skills.

Garden Room (2 year olds) and Beach Room (2-3 year olds)

Our Garden and Beach room provides your child the chance to learn through discovery play with blocks and puzzles, creative art and stories. Emphasis is placed on social growth each day through circle time with Bible stories and songs to encourage language skills. Your child will gain confidence by discovering the answers to their most favorite questions “why” and “where”. Understanding that children potty train at their own pace, you and your child’s teacher will work together to provide the best environment for success.

Noah’s Ark Room (3 year olds) and Lighthouse Room (3-4 year olds)

Our Noah’s Ark Room and Lighthouse Room provide an introduction to academics with an emphasis on socialization and spiritual development. It’s here where children learn the mechanics of school and successful interaction with peers.  At this age children are given many first experiences at following group directions, socializing with peers and exploring materials in a hands-on setting.  Preschool students are involved in a balanced and enriching program helping them to learn a wide range of skills and concepts prior to our more academic Pre-K program.

Jungle Room and Mountain Meadow Room (Pre-K, 4 & 5 year olds)

Each of our Pre-K classrooms provides a nurturing, loving Christ-centered environment. We provide a daily Bible time and also surround the students with loving Christian people who live their faith through interactions with the students, each other and the parents. We encourage exploration and interaction with other children and provide many pre-reading and pre-math activities. In order to interface with our day school program, we use the Saxon preschool materials which emphasize Kindergarten readiness.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK)

This class is for children who have had preschool experience but are not yet ready for kindergarten curriculum. Transitional Kindergarten does not replace kindergarten but enhances academic learning and allows an extra year for social and emotional development.
