December 16, 2020

Good Evening Parents,

Today, we were notified that a staff member at Grace has tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member has not been on campus since Monday, December 14th.

Out of an abundance of caution, staff members and students that may have come into close contact with the individual (15 minutes or more within 6 feet) have already been contacted directly by school officials and self-quarantine measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of the rest of the students and staff. School leadership, in conjunction with public health officials, has determined there is no need at this time to close the school. We have intensified cleaning and sanitizing procedures to ensure our campus is safe for students and staff.

We realize that this information is a cause for concern. Please know that we are working with our Return to School Reopening Team, public health officials, and the San Diego County Office of Education to monitor the situation, and that we are strictly following all public health guidelines. Additionally, it is important to know the staff member contracted COVID-19 off campus, and there is no evidence of transmission at Grace. We thank you for your support as we continue to provide a quality educational experience in this changing environment.

If you have questions or concerns about this information, please contact me.

In Him,
Ben Elliott
