School Update September 6, 2020

Good Afternoon Parents,

Friday was a busy day around campus preparing for the return of the students on Tuesday. We are so excited to see everyone in the classroom. We had intended to send this out on Friday but Gradelink was having some technical issues that they just got fixed. I am sorry for the delay in getting this information to you.

The purpose of the information shared in this email is to inform you of how Grace is obligated to handle students and staff who have symptoms of COVID or become ill, either on campus or at home. We have compiled the chart below from the CDC, HHSA, and through discussion with local schools to help us navigate through this uncharted territory.

First and foremost, we are asking all parents not to send their child to school if they have ANY of the symptoms listed below. We would like to keep our campus a healthy environment for all students and staff.

Please see the list below for possible symptoms and the protocol of how we will have to handle each situation. Please carefully review these details because, in order to keep everyone safe, we will have to send students home when they show any of the symptoms listed below. If your child has a doctor’s note for anyone symptom, (example: headaches or coughs due to allergies) please bring the note into the school office so that Ms. Deborah can have that information on file. It is important to have the Doctors note, or we will have to send your student home for any symptom and follow the protocol listed below:

COVID Symptoms that require us to send students home (anyone symptom):

If you have any questions please contact me. Thank you for your help in keeping our students and staff safe!

In Him,
Ben Elliott
